W 2012 roku był członkiem jury na 62. Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym w Berlinie (Niemcy).

Proponowano mu nakręcenie filmu "Metallica Through the Never", zmuszony był jednak odmówić, ze względu na konflikt harmonogramów z kręconym przez niego filmem "A Most Wanted Man". Projekt objął zamiast niego Nimród Antal.

Ma młodszego brata Maartena.

Corbijn unika nowoczesnej, pełnej przepychu techniki fotograficznej, preferując raczej bardziej surowy styl i często czarno-białą kolorystykę.
