Serial "Supergirl" dobiega końca. Stacja The CW zapowiedziała, że nadchodzący szósty sezon będzie ostatnim. Finalna odsłona przygód superbohaterki będzie liczyć 20 odcinków.

"Supergirl" jest częścią "Arrowverse", czyli cyklu seriali produkowanych przez Grega Berlantiego, które inspirowane są postaciami z komiksów wydawnictwa DC Comics. Pierwszy sezon powstał dla stacji CBS, gdzie jednak nie miał za dobrej oglądalność. Dlatego też później został przeniesiony na antenę The CW, gdzie był swego czasu czwartym najchętniej oglądanym oryginalnym serialem tej stacji.

"Supergirl" jest drugim po "Arrow" serialem "Arrowverse", który został skasowani. Fanom pozostają jeszcze: "Flash" (w przygotowaniu jest siódmy sezon), "Legends of Tomorrow" (sezon szósty), "Black Lightning" (sezon czwarty), "Batwoman" (sezon drugi) oraz nowość "Superman & Lois".

To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless. Shes had that impact on me, too. Shes taught me strength I didnt know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when were united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and Im forever grateful. Im so excited that we get to plan our conclusion to this amazing journey, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store.
