Gidget Odcinek 24: Ring-a-Ding-Dingbat

With Russ on his way to San Francisco, Gidget plans to stay with Larue. Larue asks Gidget's opinion of a mystery story she has written. Annoyed by Larue's reaction to her criticism, Gidget leaves for home. At the airport, Russ meets a friend, Stewart Gurner, who is a very nervous type. Russ invites Stew to spend the night at the 'empty' Lawrence home. Meanwhile, a thunderstorm breaks out. Hearing the whir of Stew's sleep-inducing machine, Gidget phones Larue to come over. Neighbors Herb and Fonya Feiler arrive home from a party. Fonya is dressed in a fairy costume, while Herb is Dr. Hyde. Fonya sends Herb to check on the lights in the Lawrence house. Terror mounts as all parties, unaware of each other's presence, are unable to account for the strange happenings in the house. Giving up, Stew and the girls decide to leave at the same time as two policemen arrive with Fonya. Believing they have captured a notorious burglar, the police arrest Stew, Gidget is surprised, when instead of being angry, Russ only laughs at the thought of Stew being mistaken for "Pajama Plotkin."
