It’s Dilys’ birthday but Norman has completely forgotten. James suggests they arrange a surprise party. Norman thinks it’s a great idea and everyone offers to help out. Norman quickly becomes impatient with his friends and ignores their advice, leaving the cake in the oven causing a fire and ruining Mike’s kitchen. Disheartened he resigns himself to the fact that he cannot make Dilys’ birthday special but all his friends rally around and help Norman set everything up for her surprise party.
