Co do drugiego pytania, myślę, że Valarowie zdołaliby go zniszczyć, a już na pewno zdołaliby się oprzeć jego pokusie. Nie jestem pewien, ale chyba ogień smoka mógłby zniszczyć pierścień (?)

Podobno tak, jednak ten został wykuty przez Saurona, toteż raczej żaden smoczek nie dałby mu rady. Sam Gandalf też tak przypuszcza ;D.

1. Tolkien w Liscie 246: "The Witch-king had been reduced to impotence". Czyli pewnie został pozbawiony powłoki i nie mógł już dalej egzystować w ten sposób. Całkowicie zginął po zniszczeniu Pierścienia.

Nie wiem jak w oryginale, jednak u Skibniewskiej Glorfindel mówi o zgubie. Zguba może niekoniecznie oznaczać śmierć, a tylko klęskę.
