"It’s been one year since his father’s death and Leslie is marking the occasion with a service in the bread aisle of Greens & Grains. When a customer collapses and dies right on the very same spot as his dad, Leslie feels like he has nothing to live for. Amy persuades him that he needs an heir to leave the store to, but Leslie is the last in a long line of Pools. Leslie announces that he has decided to pass the store along to one of his employees. Following unsatisfying interviews with Todd, Buck, and Yolanda, he chooses Richard to carry on the G&G legacy. But Richard balks at changing his name to Pool, so Leslie starts training Carl to be his heir. During an overnight “camping” trip at G&G, Leslie encourages his new protégé to seize the moment and make an honest woman out of Yolanda. When Carl insists that he has no intention of getting married and that he doesn’t have what it takes to be a Pool, G&G’s future is right back to where it started. "
