Blindspotting Sezon 2 Odcinek 3: N*ggaz and Jesus

The time has finally come for Miles’ first family weekend visit. He’s allowed forty-eight hours of physical contact with Ashley and Sean in a house on San Quentin’s property. But things don’t go quite as planned when within the first ten minutes of being together, seven-year-old Sean utters the ‘N’ word. Ashley and Miles are flabbergasted. How do they explain to Sean he must NOT use that word in a way he can understand? Their attempts lead to further questions about the differences between his mom and dad, and the racial history of America, which Miles attempts to explain with a board game based on the 1849 California Gold Rush. On the other side of the bay, Nancy invites Rainey to a support group for mothers who have incarcerated children at her church, but Rainey struggles to connect, realizing she no longer has faith in god, and searches for other ways to deal with her feelings. Be it a word or a belief, what’s right for someone isn’t necessarily right for another.
