Richie is diagnosed with a virulent form of early-onset dementia. Marin's gang dump the body of the decapitated girl in order to implicate Cal in her killing, forcing Cal into hiding. Meanwhile Richie's vivid flashbacks of the mystery girl's death prompt recollections of something that happened 40 years ago involving Jo and Seb. And Cal exploits Richie's deluded state to convince him to retaliate and right the wrongs of the past.
