Lewis Sezon 5 Odcinek 4: The Gift of Promise

Police drama. When local businesswoman Andrea de Ritter is brutally bludgeoned to death, Lewis and Hathaway are called in to investigate what appears to be a blackmail plot gone wrong. The catalyst for the crime appears to be the discovery by Andrea of a secret about publisher Leon Suskin, the father of 15-year-old Zoe - who had recently been awarded a scholarship by the businesswoman. Andrea sent Leon a copy of the newly published memoirs of former MI5 Chief Grace Orde together with a mysterious note: 'Who killed Mary?' Leon approaches Orde, who insists she cannot help but, clearly rattled, she sets her security man on his tail. When Andrea's student lover leaps to his death, Zoe's favourite lecturer Donald Voss collapses from arsenic poisoning and Leon is viciously stabbed, Lewis and Hathaway realise there is a decades-old secret at the heart of the case. They must uncover it to stop the present-day murders.
