A Georgian ball is planned to celebrate the christening of Prince Arthur. When private etchings of the Royal family are made public, Victoria, Albert and Leopold are horrified. There are fears that Bertie has inherited the madness of King George. At the ball, Sophie and Joseph consummate their romance, whilst Victoria and Feodora have a showdown when the Queen discovers Feodora has been selling invitations. When Albert tampers with Victoria’s design for a new coin they fight like never before. Albert fears Victoria is not of sound mind, and tells Victoria he no longer loves her like he once did.
