Rocked by the revelations from the letter and the lengths that Metzler appears to be prepared to go to bury the past, Tom and Nancy confront Wendy, Sam's old secretary, to demand answers to their questions. When a new lead sends Tom in the direction of a former worker at Greenlake, the mental hospital where Metzler previously worked, events take a tragic twist that cuts to the heart of what Tom needs to know.
