John Hartmann, President and CEO of True Value, is going undercover as a handyman trying to win a life-changing sum of money. Going undercover is nothing new for this former FBI Agent who spent 10 years putting criminals in prison. Before True Value, John worked for Home Depot and as the CEO for New Zealand’s market-leading home improvement company. Having worked for the “Big Box” companies, John knows that it’s a hard market for mom-and-pop shops like True Value. He is now tasked with elongating the company’s life span and must go undercover to see how he can improve both the customer and the employee’s True Value experience.
