Od 1977 roku jest basistą zespołu The Specials.
Był basistą w następujących zespołach:
- General Public (1984- 1987, 1994- 1995);
- Malik & Pettite;
- The Tones;
- Box of Blues;
- Blues to Go.

Wydał autobiografię pt: "Ska'd for Life".
