Należy do zespołu Canned Heat (1967-1970, 1978-1980, 1987-1992, 1996-1997, od 2010 r.; wokal, gitara basowa, gitara). 
Był ponadto gitarzystą basowym w następujących grupach:
- The Gamblers;
- John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers (1970-1972);
- Pure Food and Drug Act (1972).
