Czytałam na pewnym amerykańskim forumie o tym, że ktoś ma scenariusz 1 odcinka 4 sezonu OC, ale nie wiem czy to prawda... prześle wam i powiecie co o tym sądzicie..:D

The Awakening
Episode 4.01


Opens on hospital.
Marissa lays on a bed, covered in cuts and scratches.
She is comatose.
Ryan and Julie sit next to each other, both eyes are bleary from crying.
Julie stares off into the distance, eyes wide and vacant, Ryan clutches Marissa’s hand, staring intently at her.
It is clear neither has slept for days.
Long Pause
Julie (croaking): I can remember the last time we were like this. You’d just brought her back from Tijuana, and I know that…. (sniffs) I didn’t tell you at the time, but I was so grateful.
Ryan: (stares at Julie for a second) you told me, if I ever went near her again you’d have me arrested. You thought it was my fault.
Long Pause. Julie nods slowly
Julie: What happened, down there? She never told me, she just left…
Ryan: (sighs) I- we- (tear trickles down his face)
Julie leans over, rubs his arm.
Marissa stirs
Julie: oh my god… oh my god sweetie you’re awake.
Julie sniffs and throws herself around Marissa.
Julie withdraws, and sits smiling, tears forming in her eyes.
Ryan: You’re ok.
Marissa: Yeah.


Summer and Neil sit on the sofa in the waiting room.
Summer is sleeping on Neil’s arm; Neil is tired, but still awake.
Julie enters the room, Neil stands up, waiting anxiously for news.

Marissa lies still, staring at Ryan.
Ryan: I thought I’d lost you. You’ve been in a coma for two months.
Marissa: What happened. I can remember, saying goodbye to my mom, and then you came to pick me up and then…. Nothing.
Ryan: We swerved, fell over an embankment. The car exploded. You…(pauses, obviously fighting tears) your heart had stopped for around ten minutes, and the paramedics thought (pause again) it would be too late.
Marissa: what about you? You could have died. Were you ok?
Ryan: yeah I was… we were so worried about you.
Julie enters.
Julie: hi sweetie.
Marissa: mom.
Julie: I’m so glad you’re awake, we were so worried.
Ryan: she only left a couple of times the entire time, and only for fresh clothes.
Julie: yeah well, Ryan here never left your side.
Ryan smiles. Marissa gazes at him.

Seth, Sandy and Kirsten sit anxiously around the breakfast bar.
Kirsten: Sandy? Seth? Bagels?
Sandy rouses, glancing at Kirsten.
Kirsten puts down the bagel.
The phone rings, they all look.



Summer and Seth cautiously knock on the door.
Marissa and Ryan are just sat there, Marissa lies on Ryan’s arm, looking utterly content, eyes closed.
Ryan glances up.
Ryan: hey
Seth: hi
Summer: (covering her mouth with her hands comes and sits next to Ryan) Is she ok.
Ryan: all things considered, yes. But, they still have to see whether she’ll be able to walk, and she’s completely tired out.
Seth: yeah well. This reminds me of-
Ryan and Summer: yeah. (nodding)
All look at Marissa. Ryan sits up slightly. Marissa opens her eyes, blinking profusely.
Summer: hey coop. (high pitched, tears form)
Marissa: sum. (opens mouth as if to talk, but then closes)
Summer: oh my god, we were so worried about you.
Seth: yeah, this is the first time I’ve seen her in three weeks.
Marissa looks round and smiles. Camera Ryan. Ryan smiles, pan summer, summer smiles. Camera Seth, Seth smiles.

Kirsten sits with sandy in the waiting room.
Jimmy walks in.
Kirsten: Oh my god, Jimmy!
Sandy: Jimbo, how are ya?
Jimmy looks at sandy as Kirsten hugs him. He has a drained look in his eyes. Jimmy pats Kirsten limply on the back.
Kirsten: It’s been so long. Oh, Jimmy.
Sandy: Are you staying long, Jimbo?
Jimmy: I’m gonna stick around for about a month, then see where life takes me. I’m just so glad that Ryan got the paramedics there on time. Her heart had stopped for ten minutes, if they hadn’t got there…
Kirsten looks grim.


Julie rests her head on Neil’s shoulder. They sit in silence for a long time. Neil: How do you feel?
Julie: so much better. Thank you. (glances up at neil) for everything, I don’t think I could have done this without you.
Neil: I love you.
Julie: I know.

Kirsten is taking a shower.
She shampoos, and then soaps herself.
She stops, and looks worried.
Kirsten comes out of the shower, wearing her robe, and goes to the phone.
She waits a second.
Kirsten: (worried) Neil is that you, can you come over. Now?

Kaitlin sits on her bed, chewing gum and looking ghostly vacant.
Jimmy knocks on the door.
Jimmy: hey kiddo. Can I come in?
Kaitlin nods, vacantly.
Jimmy: she's going to be ok, she's woken up now, and she's safe.
Kaitlin begins to cry.
Kaitlin: I was so scared. She’d only just become a part of my life again, and I almost lost her.
Jimmy: (hugging Kaitlin) I know. But it’s good. We can go see her.


The Cohen kitchen.
Kirsten looks frightened.
Neil sits down opposite her.
Kirsten: (bringing up courage) are you sure?
Neil: no. But your family history makes the chances more likely.
Kirsten: so…
Neil: So I’d suggest you should see a doctor, as soon as possible. We have enough tragedy in our lives without anything happening to you.
Kirsten looks at Neil, and brings herself to a small smile, and a sigh.

Ryan sits, sleeping, while Marissa is sat up, gazing into space.
Ryan stirs, and Marissa looks down at him caringly.
Jimmy and Kaitlin come in, Marissa lights up.
Marissa: hey
Kaitlin: hey sis. How are you? Well, that’s kind of a rhetorical question, but-
Jimmy: the meaning is clear.
Marissa: dad…
Jimmy nods. Marissa smiles, and extends her hand. Jimmy takes it and sits down.
Kaitlin looks uncomfortable.
Kaitlin: I’m gonna go get some coffee. (exits)
Jimmy: (looking at Ryan) he really does love you, you know?
Marissa: I know.
Jimmy: he never left your side for a minute. Always there, always alert at any sign.
Marissa: so I keep hearing.
Jimmy: I’m so sorry I missed your graduation.
Marissa: I think, that in comparison to this, that’s nothing.
Jimmy squeezes Marissa’s hand and kisses her cheek.
Jimmy: Love you kiddo.
Marissa: love you too dad.
Outside the door kaitlin listens, cups of coffee in her hand, and smiles.

Kirsten sits at home, holding the phone, rocking back and forth.
She dials.
Phone: this is sandy Cohen here. I either cannot or will not come to the phone right now, but leave a message, and I might get back to you.
Kirsten: sandy, call me back as soon as possible, there's something wrong.

Summer and Seth lie on his bed, making out.
Summer: you know, I think it’s good that Ryan and Marissa are back together
Seth: (giving the sideways glance) who said they were back together?
Summer stares at Seth indecorously. Seth shrugs.
Summer: about what you said this morning, about not seeing me-
Seth: it was nothing
Summer: no, I just wanted to say sorry.
Seth: no, I understand, it’s fine. She's your best friend. Your sister.
Summer sits up and smiles at Seth. Leans down, and makes out with him.



Ryan wakes up.
Marissa: good morning.
Ryan: how long have I been asleep?
Marissa: about twelve hours.
Long pause. Ryan and Marissa look at each other.
Ryan: I’m so happy you’re safe.
Marissa: mm. I remember something. A car. Bumping us.
Ryan: (uncomfortable) yeah.
Marissa: what? It wasn’t… no. it cant have been …
Ryan looks away
Marissa: I am going to kill him.
Ryan: no. He’s locked away. You’re safe, and that’s all that matters.
Marissa: I love you
Ryan gazes at her for a few seconds.
Ryan: thank you.
They smile, and then Ryan leans over to Marissa and kisses her.
Ryan: (sitting back down) I don’t want to lose you again.
Marissa: what?
Ryan: I love you, but I’ve almost lost you too many times, and I couldn’t handle it if I were to lose you again. Marissa cooper, will you marry me?
Marissa gasps, and smiles, raising her hands to her face.
Marissa: oh my god…

Summer and Seth lie on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
Summer: I don’t want to go away this fall, not without you.
Seth: You have to. Brown is one of the most prestigious universities in the country. You have to go.
Summer: not if it means I’m going to lose you. I can’t lose you.
Seth: I know.
They lay in silence for a while.
Seth lights up, as if with an idea, and then rolls over, to face summer.
Seth: what if I move to Rhode Island with you?
Summer smiles, then the phone rings.
Summer: (to the phone) hey Atwood…. Yeah… ok… sure, we’ll be right there.
Summer: (to Seth) That was Ryan, he says he has news, and that he wants us to meet him and Marissa right away.
Smirking to each other, they leave.



The waiting room
Julie sits, staring vacantly. Jimmy enters, carrying a cup of coffee.
Jimmy: Hey Jules
Julie: James
Jimmy: do you want some coffee?
Julie: that’s yours.
James: You can have it.
Julie: thank you. For everything. For coming, for being there. For all the people. All the times my mind kept wandering. What could have happened, if the ambulance hadn’t arrived in time. If … (starts crying)
Jimmy: Hey, hey, hey, hey. It’s ok, she's fine.
Jimmy wipes a tear of Julies face. Leans in to kiss her. Julie slaps him.
Julie: no. Jimmy, no. I happy now. I’m engaged. I have a family, a life, a fiancée. You have no right. No right to come here, to do this to me.
Stands up and walks out.

The Cohen house.
Kirsten is sitting on a sofa, she looks worried.
Sandy comes in, also worried.
Sandy: Kirsten- what’s wrong.
I was taking a shower today and I found something. And I got scared. And so I called Neil, and he came over, and checked on me, and then, I went to the doctor this afternoon. Sandy, they think. They think that- that I’ve got breast cancer.

Fade to black.
