Pierwotnie szeryf Meeker miał zginąć podczas walki z Michaelem w piwnicy. Natomiast dom, w którym schronili się bohaterowie, miał spłonąć. Pomysłu jednak nie zrealizowano z powodu ograniczeń budżetowych i ostatecznie szeryf Meeker przeżył.
Na początku filmu, Jamie siedząc w swoim pokoju, wpatruje się przez okno na ambulans. Później pojazd znika. W scenariuszu Jamie wpatrywała się na zewnątrz w ulewę, zaś ambulans pojawił się po tym, gdy ona się odwróciła. Zmieniono to jednak z niewiadomych powodów.
W odniesieniu do zakończenia "Halloween 2", film pierwotnie miał się zacząć od długiego ujęcia korytarza szpitalnego, w którym to nagle następuje wybuch zaś dr Loomis zostaje odrzucony na skutek eksplozji. Miało to pokazać w jaki sposób udało mu się przeżyć. Zdecydowano jednak, że film nie powinien mieć jakichkolwiek powiązań z poprzednikami i nie zrealizowano tego pomysłu.
George P. Wilbur nosił hokejowe podkładki pod kombinezonem, aby postać Michaela Myersa wyglądała jeszcze bardziej imponująco. Zostało to wyjawione w dokumencie "Inside Halloween 5".
